There are so many elements to an image. Lighting, composition, movement, colour, texture…
when they are in harmony, in tune with the soul of the story - capturing that moment with a camera is bliss.
I am drawn to the mystery of how to photograph a moment, a scene, an emotion. I don’t believe there is an answer or a dogma – technology doesn’t create beauty - people tell stories.
It’s a question, a search
I chase that elusive moment, shot to shot, project to project
I desire to bring a cinematic quality to every project I work on; to use the latest tools to shoot revolutionary images, to blur the lines between narrative, documentary and commercial productions
It is a dance between camera, light, actor and editing and it never exists the same way twice.
There is a joy and rhythm to life, light is lyrical and images profound
Things break and shit happens, but there can be beauty in the flaws - if we look.
